The fashion in conflict

Sixty-eight, a time of revolution and visionary eye on the future, even with regard to fashion.  Yet, unlike many utopian ideals born in that period, the style born in this period will go far and will be projected in time to come, not without being allowed to show a bit of nostalgia for those magic years.

From the hippie style skirt, fringed with a metal look: for years many of the trends that are popular on runways around the world are born in the period around 1968.

The rock stars and movie icons enactment of the laws of fashion, while young people in those years that invade the streets interpret them according to their personal taste.  They are the real trendsetters of the time: since then the designers will be inspired by the street-style for their new collections.

Hippie look
Long hair and skirts, jeans and shirts with flowers: style (against) the hippie culture was very diverse and was interpreted by the individual depending on the whim of the moment.
Rejecting the establishment of the fashion industry, the hippies in the late sixties became the real trendsetters by imposing their own fees, which in turn influenced and contaminated by the world of rock, film, and the discovery of cultures in distant countries, which  then beginning to become a place of frequent visits.

A-skirt
The form "A" skirt is a must in the classic Sixties.  The geometrical shapes are among the characteristics of the cut of the clothes of Andre Courreges French designer, Mary Quant, who contends the merit of the invention of the miniskirt.  This form was launched by Christian Dior in the Fifties to the present day and revisited by various designers: one of all, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel.

Fringes
Imagery related to the population of Native Americans, were taken in clothing of the followers of the counterculture of the sixties as a sign of sympathy for the cause of the oppressed people of Native Americans.  This factor became especially popular in the film "Easy Rider" in 1969.

Miniskirt
In 1965, when it took off for the first time in the collection of Andre Courreges, was greeted by stunned silence in the hall of audience, even if it did not take long for many women eager to adopt this new leader, who will become a favorite of their wardrobe.  Almost simultaneously, in London, Mary Quant launched its mini model, more tight than the French version.  Both combined with the mini white boots and geometric designs.
The mini was finally consecrated by actress Brigitte Bardot and model Twiggy, undisputed icons of that period.
